AAA Translation Has Starring Role With Foreign Language Film Translation
ST. LOUIS – AAA Translation is ready for their Hollywood close up with their latest project. The St. Louis-based translation consultants recently translated a documentary film entitled “Tumbling from the Mountaintop of Truth: the Art of Anselm Spring” – which is set to debut as part of the Whittaker St. Louis International Film Festival.
This special showing of the English version will take
place at 5:00 pm on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Tivoli Theater, located at
6350 Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis’ U
City Loop.
Directed by Virginia Lee
Hunter, “Tumbling from the Mountaintop of
Truth: the Art of Anselm Spring” is about a very well-known and successful
German photographer – Anselm Spring – who walks away from it all to settle on a
mesa in remote Southern Utah, where he
explores life as an artist. Anselm
Spring gave up professional photography the day he realized he wanted his own
life to be 'as overwhelming as nature is'. This poetic portrait of a puzzling
artist captures the paradoxes that run through an artist whose mission is to
convey 'truth' through his art using materials such as Fruit Loops, animal
bones, and Barbie dolls, with a few Jesus figurines thrown in.
AAA Translation provided the language translation services
for the producers of the documentary film, and the St. Louis-based company’s
name appears in the credits for both the English and the German versions.
Regarding her company’s role in the film, Evens comments, “This story
inspires true perseverance and finding yourself and your true passion. We are
thrilled to be part of this journey.”
The Whittaker St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) is
one of the largest international film festivals in the Midwest. This year’s
festival will be held Nov. 14-24, 2013. SLIFF will screen 330 films: 75
narrative features, 63 documentary features, and 192 shorts. This year’s
